Praise & A/V Team
Contact: Andrew Kim (andrewkim28@gmail.com)
The Davis Korean Church EM Praise Team is responsible for leading the congregation in worshiping God through music as a reminder to seek after Christ in our day to day lives. We mainly serve during Sunday church services, Friday college (MSM) large group gatherings, and Tuesday Chapel prayer nights. The team consists of members of various ages and skill levels.
This team is compromised of operators that make sure that the microphones are working for the Pastor and Praise Team on Sunday services, at MSM Chapel, and during other miscellaneous events as requested. Duties would include: controlling the volumes and feedback for each mic and instrument during the service, controlling the image that is projected on the main screen, and controlling the house lights throughout the service/event. Operators would work off an Apple Computer (typically PowerPoint) connected to the projector, a sound board, and a small light board. No experience required we just ask for a willingness to serve and learn.
Please contact Andrew Kim if you'd like to find out more information on how to get involved!
Administration/Technology
Contact: TBD
Volunteers within this team generally work behind-the-scenes for various events and/or continuous (weekly/monthly) duties needed within the church. The "Jubo Group" of volunteers take turns making the weekly flyer announcements for Sundays. We also look for volunteers interested in taking and organizing pictures/videos at different events throughout the year for the congregation to view. And we always welcome volunteers who want to co-coordinate (or shadow as assistants) for annual events like our various sports tournaments or holiday banquets. If you're interested or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Kat!
Welcoming Team
Welcoming Team serves to create a church environment where people feel welcome to have fellowship with other members of our English Ministry, which includes college, young adult, and families. Every Sunday you’ll see us greet you and hand out bulletin brochures as you enter for service. On the first Sunday of every month, we serve refreshments at the end of service. Welcoming Team hosts events throughout the year for newcomers, so if you’re new please be on the lookout for those events in our church announcements.
Welcoming Team also serves as a liaison for newcomers who want to get plugged into the church community by connecting them to small group and bible study groups. We are so glad that you are checking out Davis Korean Church—we’re thankful that God has brought us together and would love to get to know you more!
Awana
Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, 2 Tim. 2:15) at DKC is an exciting ministry open to children ages three through sixth grade. Leaders work to “reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” We do this through age-appropriate Scripture memorization, large group messages, and FUN games. We meet on Wednesdays from 5 to 8:30ish. If you have a heart for children and for making a difference for God, please come and check us out.

Missions Committee
Contact: June Kang
Our church was founded on the mission field, as nine UC Davis graduate students first began meeting together at various homes. Soon thereafter our church was established in 1982. DKC has a long history of supporting missions both financially and through our actions. We continue to be committed to supporting missions and commissioning missionaries. We have also expanded our support to include church planting and outreach. As we continue to serve God, we seek our Father's blessings and guidance.
Please contact June Kang for more information.
